Mountain College, is located in the heart of the city of La Pocatière just next to the College Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière. This small mountain is part of Monadnocks either; rocky hills made of solid quartzite which is the source of their resistance to erosion. Mountain College, also known as the Mountain of the Kingdom, is 122 meters.

Since the nineteenth century, the urban park Mountain College is housed there. It is crisscrossed by several small trails traversing a total of about 10 km and is dotted with gazebos and staircases, including the stairs of the Trinity which has more than 250 steps. There are climbing sites, four natural caves that can be visited, the largest of which is the cave Thermopylae. The mountain is home to many birds and small mammals including squirrels, marmots and badgers.
