This monument bearing the likeness of Jean Drapeau, mayor of Montreal from 1954 to 1957 and from 1960 to 1986, was installed in 2001 in the creation of this character, the artist relied on extensive photographic documentation and was guided by comments from friends of Mr. Drapeau.
