Parc Régional du massif du sud

Saint-Philémon ( Chaudière-Appalaches )

Twenty summits, among which the highest of Chaudière-Appalaches (917 metres high), vast panoramas, deep valleys, torrents and crystalline waterfalls, a canyon, shelters under cliffs, old-growth forests with enormous yellow birches, amazing wildlife and very few mosquitoes - that is the Massif du Sud Regional Park. The Park boasts 71 km of safe hiking trails (marked out, signposted, patrolled) and 35 km of trails for hybrid or mountain bicycles. Ten kilometres of trails are wheelchair accessible. Lookout points can be reached by car. The Park rents rustic campsites, shelters, cabins and a yurt. The imposing fitness trail features games, including a rope bridge, a castle labyrinth and a Tyrolean traverse. The Park offers guided tours, nature interpretation activities and geocaching. Leashed dogs are allowed.
