Belvédère du Vieux Black Lake

Since its construction in 1991, the viewpoint of the open pit of Black Lake is one of the main tourist attractions of the region. 4 interpretive signs were installed at the Belvedere Old Black Lake. Tourists, visitors and citizens can learn about the history of the municipality of Black Lake on the early days of mining in the region as well as the discovery of asbestos in the area. Located opposite the General Store O’Brien, on the street in the Black Lake Black Lake area, gazebo offers a remarkable view of the city and the mining facilities of the former British-Canadian mine, accessible any time and free of charge.
