La Malbaie ( Charlevoix )
Built in 1991, this house of prayer is home to the Little Brothers of the Cross, a Catholic community of contemplative monks founded in 1980 with the approval of the Archbishop of Quebec. They live according to the spirit of Blessed Brother Charles de Foucauld (1858-1916) who lived in the Sahara desert at the beginning of the last century. Their way of life is centered on the celebrated and worshiped Eucharist. The monastery church is open to the public during the day for worship and participation in liturgical services. Mass is celebrated in the morning. Limited visits to the church and the outside panorama. Recommended decent fit.
