Monument Roger-Lemelin

Roger Lemelin (1919-1992) is a native of Saint-Sauveur neighborhood where this monument is erected in the middle of a small square that bears his name. Both writer, screenwriter, journalist and businessman he transposed into his novels first and then with great success on television just and tasty vision of his countrymen. All of Quebec is idenfifie to sympathetic characters in his novels: At the foot of the gentle slope (1944) and Les Plouffe (1948).
