Anchors Park and Museum, adjacent to the museum is located just outside the lock number 3 Soulanges Canal, on both sides of Central Street.

Anchors the park serves as a museum open open 365 days a year. Its collection of more than 100 anchors and other artifacts related to the maritime world is unique. It reflects the history of our river and the Soulanges Canal. A complete management and this museum presents artifacts, models and visuals that tell what the river before it tames.

You can see, touch and even climb time a photo. Some of them weigh about 15 tons and are over three centuries. All anchors presented here were found in the rapids between lakes Saint-Louis and Saint-François!

First military channels Soulanges Canal, it explains the works of man to allow navigation. Operated by the Historical Research Society Pointe-des-Cascades, guided tours of the interpretive center are available by appointment during the summer to learn more about the manufacture and use of anchors in the marine environment.
